JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE CUTE.......

and..... in about 2 weeks when the new baby comes, I'm not going to have as much free time to play with them.

And this little 22 month old girl.......won't be my baby any more. Jaisa has big plans for the "baby boy". According to her, she will "feed him his bottle, put him night night, give him a bath, feed him dinner and hold him so he doesn't cry".

She talks about visiting me in the "hopsital" and bringing me a "big diet coke with extra ice".

I love these 2!

HALLOWEEN 2010

We had fun at both our ward trunk-or-treat as well as tick or treating with some friends of ours. The kids scored big time and had a blast. {Tyson and one of his best friends Ty} {Shawni and one of her great friends Talia} {The whole gang}

PUMPKIN PATCH 2010

Corn mazes........ {nasty} animals....... {hot, stinky, muggy} "snake" tunnel with VERY realistic cobwebs - {NOT}

Can you tell I'm not a big or even a little fan of Halloween? The kids loved all the festivities.....but I'm so glad it is over!

MORE UTAH AND COUSINS.......2010

A little 24th of July celebration with the fire pit and smores....... Even Todd enjoyed the gooey treats (when he sees this picture......it will be coming down - but I couldnt resist). Plus, he never checks this thing :) Sparklers...... Crazy faces by the 2 "devil" children..... Jaisa, just being.....Jaisa. I had to get a picture of these 2 girls before we left. Hayley was so good with my girls...There are only 3 granddaughters and 10 grandsons.....Hopefully, they will always be close.

Another GREAT vacation.....with some of our favorite cousins! My sister was able to drive up to my parent's home with her 5 kids. So I packed up my 3, and we headed on over to meet up with them. A week into our "reunion", Todd flew into Vegas where my brother picked him up and they all headed over too. We were just missing my 2 younger sisters :(

There was lots of gun shooting......

Lots of eating......and relaxing.

There was some rolling around in Grandma and Grandpa's garden, then running away from mom.

A lot of pea-peeling.

A great way to earn money for the daily Maverick run.

Bonding with cousins we don't see enough of.

Shawni and Jaisa latched on to Hayley, who is the only other female cousin on my side. She painted their nails, made them hair bows and took them to the park. They LOVE her!

Babysitting by Grandpa.

I came home from a shopping trip with the girls, to find Shawni asleep on Granpa's lap. Guess all that playing exhausted her.

Way too much attitude!

These 2 are 6 months apart. They are both "devil" children. Must be in the name. Jason and Jaisa. T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

They even look evil in this picture!

FIRST DAY(S) OF SCHOOL.....

Tyson is a pro.

With 2 years of preschool and 1 year of kindergarten down.....first grade has been a peice of cake for this boy. He was excited and confident enough that on the first day, I drove up in the carpool lane and he jumped out running to his class line. He didn't even hesitate or look back. In fact ( and I quote him as he was getting out of the car) "Mom, I'm just going to wear my backpack like this so I look cool". He then put one strap over his shoulder and took off. Does a 6 year old even know what cool is?? I'm 3o something and don't think I have figured that out yet

(isn't he dreamy??)

As for this girl...... she started preschool today. She was standing next to my bed by 6:30 am with her school shirt on and her backpack packed with a cheese stick and stickers. To say she was excited is an understatement.

She wanted lots of pictures taken of her in her school shirt, just like Tyson. If only she would have kept this smile while I dropped her off in the classroom.

But, in pure Jaisa style......she grabbed onto my pants and screamed as they pryed her off and held her on their lap. They told me she was in good hands and politely asked me to leave ( they were all business). I rushed home, thinking they were going to call me within minutes......and guess what? 2 hours into her session and I haven't recieved a phone call. This preschool thing might just work.

(at least she looked cute and innocent)

SHAWNI.......

So, this picture pretty much sums up what my little 19 month old does all day. She laughs hysterically as she runs around the house (usually with one of the kids chasing her). Well...............it finally happened.
Not just her first set of piggy tails. Look closely at her tooth.

Part of it is missing :(

She was running on the tile in the kitchen and fell face first - breaking off part of her tooth.

Is it wrong of me to want to fix it - ASAP?

Nope - not at all.

Todd said that he would fix it as soon as she is old enough to sit still.

Ya - I don't think so. I'm a mom and she is my daughter - who until a couple days ago had THE cutest smile I have ever seen.

So.....if my plans go according to how I have planned them out (which they never do) then within the next couple of weeks, we will make a quick little trip to daddy's office where I undoubtedly will have to restrain my baby long enough for Todd to fix it- whatever that may be.....

Until then......my little girl's snaggle-tooth smile with have to do. :)

(it's still cute though, isn't it?)

We had a wonderful visit from Todd's parents this past week. The last time the kids saw them was Christmas, but it didn't take long for them to warm up to Grandma and Grandpa. In fact, the girls spent a lot of time sitting on Grandpa's lap and reading stories with him. Tyson had a great time just showing off with his football skills.............something he is getting better at every day ( the showing off, more than the football).

VISIT FROM GRANDMA......

We were lucky enough to have my mom come and stay with us for 5 days! We accomplished a lot while she was here. She helped me make valances for the girl's rooms, duvet covers and pillows for the house. We went out to dinner... a lot, several Sonic runs, took her to our favorite mall (which happens to only be 10 minutes away), did lots of shopping, and used our zoo passes (for only the 2nd time this season). (Can you tell how much the girls love her? They woke up every morning searching the house to find her and cuddle.)
